P. Leo Insulation Tape, the 3M & Permacel Alternative
Electrical Insulating tapes are used primarily on small to large coils and capacitors to provide mechanical holding power during the manufacturing process (typically varnish impregnation) or to provide insulation between layers of wire in similar wrapped coils. Various levels of thickness, tensile strength, and elongation coupled with dielectric strength and temperature class are distinguishing attributes for this category.

Yellow Polyester Film, Rubber Adhesive, 130ºC (B) rated, .060mm thick. This tape has a high dielectric strength, great adhesive properties, outstanding heat and solvent resistance, and high tensile strength. Ideal for the construction and insulation of coils, transformers, and various electronic components. Cost effective alternative to 3M56 and Permacel P256.
Yellow or Black Polyester Film, Acrylic Adhesive, 130ºC (B) rated, .060mm thick. Ideal for all fine wire coils and transformers where good strength, electrical properties, and aesthetic appearance are required. A cost effective alternative to 3M11 or 28, and Permacel P24 or P242.
PPS Film (Polyphenylene Sulfide) Pressure Sensitive Tape
Natural PPS Film, Acrylic Adhesive, 155ºC (F) rated, .025mm thick. Ideal for high temperature applications including chop type foil condensers, lithium ion battery insulation, and transformers for LCD back lighting.
